Laurentian University

Challenge:

Our client wanted to apply for a multi-year, multi-million dollar grant that involved a 2-tier process (Letter of Intent and Full Application stages); and putting together a network of 12 academic institutions, 6 government agencies, and 16 industry partners in 8 countries. All this, while still getting their regular work done!

Solution:

Our team provided start-to-finish grant proposal development at both Letter of Intent and Full Application stages, as well as assistance to prepare for an in-person pitch to the funder. Services included project management of the team and the content, full application writing, and international partnership development.

RESULT:

Successful funding of a $104 million, 7-year applied research project that has:

  • fuelled economic development through job creation,
  • increased productivity among the partners,
  • generated research findings that place Canada on the world stage, and
